Bronwyn Newport’s mystery man has been identified as Justin Sievers, a 42-year-old co-owner of Café Mulberry, a French restaurant in downtown Manhattan, according to Page Six.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star was photographed near Sievers at the U.S. Open, where the pair were seen kissing and embracing. The outing came shortly after Newport publicly confirmed that her relationship with model Brandon Good had ended.
The bigger story, however, is Sievers’ marital status.
According to Page Six, Sievers remains legally married to Maria Linn Ekenberger, his wife of about 10 years. The couple shares a young child, but sources offered conflicting accounts about whether they were already separated when Sievers was photographed with Newport.
One group of sources told Page Six that Sievers and Ekenberger were not formally separated when the U.S. Open photos emerged. They reportedly described the couple as taking a short break to improve their relationship and said there had been an understanding that neither would date anyone else during that period.
Another source gave Page Six a different account, saying the separation was already underway and that Sievers had moved out. That source said Ekenberger was aware of the situation and had agreed that both could move on romantically.
The conflicting accounts have made it difficult to independently establish the circumstances surrounding Newport and Sievers’ relationship.
Ekenberger was reportedly still wearing her wedding ring in social media posts made in July, while Sievers’ most recent Instagram post featuring her was from December 2025, according to Page Six. His social media profile was also reportedly made private after the story emerged.
Newport has not publicly identified Sievers as her new boyfriend. But she addressed her dating life during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sept. 16.
When asked about her relationship with Brandon Good, Newport joked that he was “six boyfriends ago” and said she was having a “hot girl summer.” She also referred to herself as being happier than ever when discussing the U.S. Open date.
Newport’s relationship with Good followed her separation from her husband, tech executive Todd Bradley. The couple announced their separation in December 2025 after nine years of marriage. Newport later discussed the breakdown of the relationship on RHOSLC, saying that turning 40 and reflecting on her marriage played a role in her decision to leave.
Her relationship with Good was relatively short-lived. Newport confirmed the split this week but did not provide an exact date for the breakup.
For now, the identity of Newport’s mystery man is no longer a mystery, but the circumstances surrounding his marriage remain disputed. Neither Newport nor Sievers has publicly provided a detailed account of their relationship or addressed the competing claims about Sievers’ separation.
Why it matters
The U.S. Open appearance has placed Newport’s rapidly changing personal life back in the spotlight just as The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City returns for a new season. The situation also highlights the difference between being legally married and being separated, with conflicting accounts leaving the precise timeline of Sievers’ relationship status unclear.
