    Family Shares First Encouraging Update

Perez Hilton’s family has shared the first encouraging update since the celebrity blogger was hospitalized earlier this week, revealing that he is now able to communicate. The news has given his loved ones renewed hope as he continues receiving medical care, while supporters across the world continue sending messages of encouragement.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the family thanked everyone who reached out with prayers, kind words and support, saying the compassion shown over the past few days has helped them through an incredibly difficult period

Recovery Remains the Family’s Main Focus

Describing the situation as emotionally overwhelming, Hilton’s family said their priority is his recovery and well-being. They requested privacy as he continues receiving treatment and explained that any future updates will only be shared after the information has been confirmed.
The family added that knowing Hilton is able to communicate has given them hope during an otherwise challenging time.

Emergency Response Followed Concerns During Livestream

The 48-year-old blogger was hospitalized on Tuesday after emergency services responded to his Miami home following concerns raised by viewers watching one of his TikTok livestreams.
According to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched after receiving multiple calls from concerned viewers. Authorities later confirmed that Hilton was admitted under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows a temporary involuntary mental health evaluation when someone is believed to be at immediate risk of harming themselves or others.Officials have not released additional details about his medical condition.

    TikTok Says It Alerted Authorities

TikTok said its automated safety systems detected the livestream and referred it to human moderators for review. The company later acknowledged that a moderation error delayed the removal of the broadcast.
The platform also confirmed it alerted law enforcement after identifying the emergency. Hilton’s account was subsequently deactivated and permanently banned because the livestream violated TikTok’s community guidelines on content involving self-harm.

    Representatives and Friend Urge Compassion

Golden Artists Entertainment, which represents Hilton, said it has no additional confirmed information beyond what the family has already shared publicly. The agency thanked fans for their concern and asked everyone to respect Hilton’s privacy while he receives medical care.
Bryan Freedman, an attorney and longtime friend who represented Hilton for many years, also expressed concern for his well-being, saying he hopes Hilton receives the care and support needed during his recovery.

Family Thanks Supporters for Standing By Them

Although questions about Hilton’s recovery remain, his family says their attention is firmly focused on his health rather than public attention. They thanked supporters for standing by them during one of the most difficult moments they have faced and asked for continued compassion and privacy while he receives the care he needs. For now, the family says they remain hopeful and will provide further updates only when they are able to confirm new information.
