A New Jersey family returning home from a music festival at the Jersey Shore was killed when their Tesla veered off the Garden State Parkway and crashed into roadside structures, authorities said.

A husband, wife, and their teenage daughter were killed in a devastating crash on the Garden State Parkway after attending a concert festival in Asbury Park, according to authorities.
The victims were identified as 54-year-old David Dryerman, his wife Michelle Dryerman, also 54, and their 17-year-old daughter Brooke Dryerman, all residents of Woodcliff Lake.
The family was traveling northbound in a Tesla Model S on the parkway near the Metropark exit in Woodbridge when the vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway, New Jersey State Police said.
Investigators said the Tesla struck a road sign, a guardrail and a concrete bridge support before coming to a stop. All three family members were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
According to Brooke Dryerman’s social media posts, the family had spent the day attending the Sea.Hear.Now Festival along the Jersey Shore, before the fatal accident occurred during their return trip home.
The tragedy sent shockwaves through the Woodcliff Lake community, where local leaders, schools, and religious organizations expressed grief over the sudden loss.
Carlos Rendo ordered borough flags to be flown at half-staff in memory of the family.
The Valley Chabad Jewish Center held a memorial gathering for the victims, while grief counselors were made available at Pascack Hills High School, where Brooke had recently begun her senior year.
Community members described the family as active, kind, and deeply involved in local activities.
Officials said the crash marked the 15th fatal accident on the Garden State Parkway in 2024.
