James Murray was handed a 35-year prison term and must serve at least 33½ years before becoming eligible for parole. The sentence was delivered on April 17 by Judge Aimee Belgard in Superior Court in Mount Holly, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.
A jury found Murray guilty on Dec. 17, 2025, following a six-day trial and less than three hours of deliberation. He was convicted on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated sexual assault, three counts of sexual assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of obscenity to minors. The offenses ranged from first-degree to third-degree charges.
Authorities have withheld further details about the victims to protect their identities.
Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said the outcome aims to provide some measure of comfort to the victims while reaffirming a commitment to pursuing strict punishment in cases involving harm to children.
