Two people were rescued after their car became wedged beneath a Walmart tractor-trailer in Millstone, New Jersey, prompting a major emergency response and hospital treatment.

    WEBDESK – NJNEWSLINE

Two people were rescued after a serious crash left their vehicle trapped beneath a Walmart tractor-trailer in Millstone Township, New Jersey. Emergency crews worked quickly to free the occupants, who were later taken to hospital for treatment.

The dramatic collision triggered a large emergency response and temporarily drew resources from neighboring fire departments as rescue operations unfolded.

    Emergency Crews Responded Within Minutes

The crash occurred at the intersection of Monmouth Road and Burnt Tavern Road at around 5:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they found a heavily damaged passenger vehicle wedged beneath the trailer of a Walmart truck, with two people trapped inside.

    Rescue Teams Freed Both Occupants

Firefighters used specialized rescue equipment to extricate the trapped victims from the wreckage.

Emergency medical personnel then transported both individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released details about the extent of their injuries.

    Investigation Into the Crash Continues

Officials have not announced what caused the collision, and investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No information has been released regarding possible road conditions, vehicle speed or other contributing factors.

Mutual Aid Played a Key Role

While local firefighters focused on the rescue operation, neighboring departments responded to other emergencies in the area to ensure uninterrupted emergency coverage.

Officials thanked surrounding fire companies for providing mutual aid during the incident, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation during major emergencies.

    Road Safety Remains a Priority

Crashes involving large commercial trucks often require complex rescue operations because of the significant size and weight of tractor-trailers.

Emergency responders remind motorists to maintain safe following distances, remain alert at intersections and exercise extra caution when driving near heavy vehicles. General road-safety guidance is especially important during periods of increased travel.

    Authorities Await Further Findings

The condition of the two injured occupants has not been publicly updated, and officials have not announced whether any charges or citations will be issued.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine exactly how the vehicle became lodged beneath the truck.
